What is BribeSpot?
Bribespot is anonymous service for reporting and tracking bribes. We aggregate reports submitted by ordinary citizens into interactive map making it easier to detect hotspots of bribery, compare local institutions and identify patterns of corruption in your city.
Anybody can submit a report about bribes paid or requested using our website, Android or iPhone apps. All submissions are anonymous and once published can be viewed by anybody visiting our service. We reserve the right to remove submissions that shall short of our guidelines and we automatically archive reports older than 12 months.
Our Story
The original idea for this service was hatched by Artas Bartas and built by an international team of geeks and designers at Garage 48 hackathon in Tallinn, Estonia. In spring 2013, we rebuilt the service from the scratch making adding support for localized languages, automatic filtering of reports and bringing the service to Android and iPhone smartphones.
